Number of students in basic and upper secondary education in Helsinki by school

The dataset includes the numbers of pupils and students in comprehensive schools, upper secondary schools and vocational institutions maintained by the City of Helsinki by school on 20 September according to the statistics from 2012 onwards. Comprehensive schools and upper secondary schools are divided into Finnish- and Swedish-language schools.

The dataset also includes pupils in preparatory education for immigrants, special needs education and hospital education. However, the number of pupils in special schools is presented only as a whole (not by school). The total number of pupils may differ from the actual number of pupils because individual pupils at a given grade level have been removed from the data.

From 1999/2000 onwards, the data is available from the Vipunen service maintained by the Finnish National Agency for Education.
