The file contains statistics related to loans of various volumes from Vantaa City Library since January 2004 on different tabs. A volume is a piece of material belonging to the library’s collections, such as a single book, magazine, video recording or sound recording.
The Mikkola Library was discontinued on June 1, 2013, and the patient library at Katriina Hospital was discontinued on September 10, 2014. The Pähkinärinne Library was closed for nearly all of 2016 and the entire year of 2017 due to renovations or indoor air quality issues. The Sotunki Library operated throughout 2016. The Kivistö Library began operations in 2020 and moved to larger premises and was renamed the Mosaiikki Library in 2023. The Hiekkaharju Library was closed from August 2024 due to indoor air quality issues, and the library was discontinued in 2025.
Loans
The tab Lainat (Loans) contains the number of volumes borrowed from Vantaa City Library by collection and month starting from January 2004. The collections are divided into locations, departments (adults, children, music) and collections (e.g. data for borrowing, reference library, depository). If the department or collection is “unspecified”, the volume’s department or collection is not defined in the library’s material database.

Interlibrary loans
The tab Kaukolainaus (Interlibrary loans) contains the numbers of volumes sent or received by Vantaa City Library as interlibrary loans by location and year from 2007 onwards. Interlibrary loans are volumes received from or sent to libraries other than those in the Helmet consortium (Vantaa, Helsinki, Espoo and Kauniainen city libraries).
