Helsinki Environmental Statistics is an online statistics service collecting the essential variables describing the state of the environment and burdens on the environment in Helsinki.

As a rule, the data of the Helsinki Environment Statistics are updated annually.

The environmental statistics contain information on the following topics:

  • Land use
  • Energy
  • Air
  • Climate
  • Traffic
  • Noise
  • Waterways
  • Nature
  • Soil contamination
  • Waste
  • Environmental responsibility
  • Environmental economy

In addition, the database contains indicators for the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and comparative data for the six largest cities (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Turku, Tampere and Oulu) in Finland.

The information is available through the Px-web database and interface. Available file formats include xlsx, csv, json and json-stat.
