Grid-based sum dataset on the number of jobs (full-time equivalents) and establishments in the Helsinki region. The dataset also contains information on the largest industries and personnel numbers.
The data has been calculated from HSY’s enterprise and establishment data on a 250m * 250m grid. Data on individual enterprises/establishments has been deleted for privacy reasons. Grid cells with three or fewer employees have been marked with -1. Enterprises and establishments with no location in the source material have been classified by municipality and located at sea. NB! The dataset only includes jobs in companies and non-profit organisations, not public sector jobs.
The source data is updated retroactively with a two-year delay, so more up-to-date information cannot be provided. The original source of HSY’s enterprise and establishment data is Statistics Finland’s Business Register.
