Helsinki City Museum The Helsinki Treasures survey asked respondents to name places that belong to the cultural environment of Helsinki. History, nature and the sea emerged as “megatrends".
The survey was available from 1 June to 31 August 2021. Approximately 300 individual sites were designated, and a total of 1,072 people responded.
All questions in the survey can be found in this link (in Finnish), and the answers to questions 1, 2 and 3 will be published.
The survey was carried out as part of the data collection included in the preparation of the Helsinki’s cultural environment programme. The programme is being prepared in cooperation between residents’ communities and authorities, while at the same time gathering information that explains the development history of Helsinki’s environments and the identity of the regions.
For data protection reasons, the survey responses will be published without background variables.
Names, exact addresses, year numbers and sentences that could enable the identification of the respondent have also been removed from the published responses. Deleted items are marked [Poistettu]. Year numbers enabling identification have been adjusted to the level of the decade, e.g. from 1998 to 199X. The other parts of the responses will be published.
In addition, a sentence that is understood as racist has been deleted in two of the responses. The other parts of the responses will also be published.
A more extensive report on the survey was published on 4 November 2021. View the report here (in Finnish).
