Geospatial dataset for the micromobility permit in Vantaa

The geospatial dataset for the micromobility permit in Vantaa currently includes four datasets. In summer 2026, the dataset will be expanded to include mandatory parking zones and designated parking spots.

Low-speed zones

In low-speed zones, the speed limit for shared e-scooters is 10 km/h. The speed limit is enforced through the service provider's user application.

No-go zones

In no-go zones, riding and parking shared e-scooters is prohibited. These restrictions are enforced through the service provider’s user application.

No-parking zones

In no-parking zones, parking shared e-scooters is prohibited. These restrictions are enforced through the service provider’s user application.

Temporary spatial restrictions

Temporary low-speed zones, no-go zones, no parking-zones, and parking spots are put in place for instance during large public events. The time of validity of the temporal restrictions are available in the attribute table of each layer.
