NOTE: The API is currently not in use due to renewal of the information system. The renewed API is scheduled to be published in 2024.

An API to the City of Helsinki digital feedback system. The API allows requesting service feedbacks submitted by the citizens. The API enables its clients to query individual or multiple service requests and their descriptions, types and statuses. The API is used for the great part for publishing service requests about broken parts of city infrastructure like street signs, potholes, etc. but service requests belonging to any department of the city may be published as open data. At the moment (2019), however, less than a tenth of all feedbacks is published due to data privacy.

In addition to requesting service feedbacks, the API may also be used for submitting new service feedback. Using the API to create a feedback channel for sending new service feedbacks to the City of Helsinki requires contacting the owner of the API.

The Issue Reporting API is based on GeoReport API version 2, better known as the Open311 specification. The interface is designed in such a way that any GeoReport v2 compatible client is able to use the interface. This interface is compliant with CitySDK specific enhancements to Open311 and parameters specific to it are marked CitySDK specific.
